WELCOME TO MYSTREETVIBES
Hi, I’m Lina Harper
I’m the cook, recipe developer, and creator behind MyStreetVibes.
I’ve been cooking for over a decade, but my relationship with food started long before that. I grew up in the U.S. in a home where cooking wasn’t about recipes or presentation, it was about making something good with what you had. Weeknight dinners, weekend experiments, grocery store inspiration, and the occasional kitchen failure all shaped the way I cook today.
How MyStreetVibes Started
Some of my earliest memories involve standing in the kitchen, watching simple meals come together, learning how flavors change with heat, timing, and patience. I didn’t learn to cook from culinary school or professional kitchens, I learned by doing, tasting, failing, and trying again. That hands-on approach still defines everything I create here.
After years of cooking for myself, friends, and family, I realized something: the meals people loved most weren’t complicated. They were familiar, flexible, and full of personality.
I started MyStreetVibes as a place to document and share the kind of food I actually cook, food inspired by everyday life, local markets, comfort cravings, and the “vibes” you pick up from different places, people, and cultures. The name isn’t about literal street food; it’s about the energy of real cooking, imperfect, creative, and grounded in real life.

Some of my recipes
Below are a few recipes from MyStreetVibes that reflect how I cook and develop ideas. These dishes are simple, practical, and tested in a real home kitchen, with a focus on flavor, comfort, and flexibility.
My Approach to Cooking
I believe cooking should feel flexible, not rigid.
Recipes are guides, not rules. Taste matters more than perfection, and learning happens fastest when you’re willing to experiment. I encourage readers to adapt recipes, trust their instincts, and make each dish their own.
If something doesn’t turn out perfectly the first time, that’s part of the process. Some of my best recipes started as mistakes.

MyStreetVibes is meant to feel welcoming. A place where cooking feels doable, personal, and enjoyable, not performative.
